The huge contribution which Volunteers make to others lives is immeasurable; they work in Sporting Clubs, Schools, Emergency & Social Services and Community Groups of all kinds and enhance our lives in so many ways, all without payment. Some may give a few hours others work almost full time but they have one thing in common, they care.
Now we have an opportunity to say thank you to these unsung hero’s in our midst, as the Peel Volunteer Resource Centre opens up nominations for both the 2013 Peel Volunteer of the Year and 2013 Peel Young Volunteer of the Year Award.
Organisations in the Shires of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Boddington, Waroona, Murray and the City of Mandurah are encouraged to nominate their outstanding volunteers for these prestigious awards.
Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the Peel Community through their volunteering efforts, be volunteers with a not for profit community group or
Nominees must be over 25 years of age for the Peel Volunteer of the Year Award and under 25 years of age for the Peel Young Volunteer of the Year Award.
Nominations close on Thursday 7th November 2013 and winners will be announced at the Volunteer Awards Breakfast on International Volunteer Day, Thursday 5th December,
to which all nominees and nominators will be invited
